Sloppy Joes. All I have to say is I am making Sloppy Joes and the whole family is ready to come to the table. Good old fashioned comfort food. Only this recipe is refined sugar free and full of ingredients that will be good for your body.

And, my grain free friends, you can enjoy these like I do…on top of a sweet potato. Totally hits the spot!

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs. Ground Beef

¼ cup Minced Dried Onions

1 cup Shredded Carrot

2 stalks Celery, finely chopped

1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped

2 ½ cups Tomato Sauce

3 tablespoons Coconut Sugar

4 tablespoons Coconut Aminos

2 tablespoons Raw Honey

3 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard

4 cloves Garlic, minced

2 tablespoons Tomato Paste

1 teaspoon Fish Sauce

2 teaspoons Chili Powder

1 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

Brown the ground beef.

Add in the minced onions, carrot, celery, and red bell pepper.

Sauté for 3-5 minutes.

Add in tomato sauce and remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.

Simmer for 20 minutes on low.

Serve on your bun of choice or on top of a baked sweet potato.
