Do you like to bake with friends? My daughter and I decided it would be nice to have some of her friends over for a baking day. We made dough for both sugar cookies (for cutting out and decorating) and a basic chocolate chip cookie dough, but we left the chips out in favor of a variety of items they could press into their dough. We not only provided chocolate chips, but we also had graham crackers, toffee, cookie butter, peanut butter cups, mnm’s, marshmallows and a lot more…here is how we set it up:
The dough for the “chocolate chip cookies” was mixed up ahead of time so they could add their “mix-ins” and bake them.
I provided the recipe for the sugar cookies. They mixed it up and they cut them out and baked them and then decorated. Here are some of the favorites.
We had such a great day and were so glad my daughter’s friends could join us! What a fun day! We found that having two types of cookies worked well so the girls all had something to work on. We also found that having everything set up on the table when they arrived worked best so that they had everything they needed as they worked…and the kitchen would only get cleaner as they worked and we put everything away.
This was a great experience that I am sure we will do again! Hope you try it too!
Blessings!
Looks like everyone had a wonderful time! =)
