Rich Chocolate Sauce with Hints of Orange

Rich Chocolate Sauce with Hints of Orange This chocolate sauce reminds me of those chocolate oranges (chocolate shaped like an orange) that you can crack on the table and it comes a part in segments. It is SO good and it brings back memories. Each year for Christmas I used to buy my brother one of those oranges. He would REALLY like this sauce…I will have to make him some sometime soon! 🙂

Here is what I did:

Ingredients:

1 package of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (12 ounces)
1 package of Milk Chocolate Chips (12 ounces)
2 cups Heavy Cream
1 Orange, zest and juice

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a thick sauce pan and turn the burner on low. Allow the cream to heat until you see steam rising off of it, stirring regularly. Add in your chocolate chips and stir. Once the chips are mostly melted, add in the zest of one orange, zested on a microplane grater. Then, add the juice of the orange as well. Stir together well. We served our sauce over vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries on the side. It acts like hot fudge in that it firms up when it hits the cold ice cream. It was so delicious and rich tasting. And…only 4 ingredients!

Blessings!
