Beginning January 30th, I am joining “Grace Full Mama” as she reads through Because He Loves Me by Elyse Fitzpatrick. I have wanted to begin a new book that spur me on in my walk with the Lord, and this is just the encouragement I needed.
So, if you are like me, and would enjoy reading a new book, even in the midst of life full of good things, why not join in?
Here is a quote from the book to get your appetite going:
“If we’re not completely convinced that his love is our right now– fully and unalterably ours– we’ll always hide in the shadows, focusing on our performance, fearing his wrath. Prayer will be hard because we won’t want to approach him or be transparent before him. Witnessing will be a chore, for who would want to talk to others about a god who is demanding, angry, or cold? If we don’t consciously live in the light of his love, the gospel will be secondary, virtually meaningless, and Jesus Christ will fade into insignificance. Our faith will become all about us, our performance, and how we think we’re doing, and our transformation will be hindered.” -Elyse Fitzpatrick, Because He Loves Me
I can’t wait to start! If you are interested click here and read the details over at Grace Full Mama. I will be reading along and blogging insights and encouragements from my reading.
If this is not a season where you can join in, please visit here often and read how God is encouraging me in my walk with Him as I read. I will also be linking up to Grace Full Mama’s site to read what she is learning as well.
